Mylands Factory Visit

Paint. It’s a key ingredient for interior designers, and the right shade can completely make a space or room. We value the importance of building relationships with our suppliers and have been recently introduced to Mylands.

We took a day away from the studio to visit the paint factory at Mylands, who are Britain’s oldest family-run paint manufacturer – established in 1884.

With its factory based moments from Central London in West Norwood, we were so impressed by the scale and diversity of the operation. From paints, waxing, wood colouring and more – the site visit gave us a real insight into the intricate levels and stages of paint making.

We loved the heritage associated with the supplier, and they were both welcoming and friendly during our visit. Our favourite finish would have to be the signature ‘Marble Matt Emulsion,’ made with ground Carrrara marble for a natural but hard-wearing finish for interiors and comes with over 160 colours to choose from!

Visiting your suppliers and discovering the heart of what they do is something that we find very important in the studio, and even better when they are only around the corner from your office!
