Modernisation of a basement in a London townhouse for a client with children. The brief was to create a fun and flexible space for her children to be able to enjoy as much as the adults. To bring light and character into the basement and for it be able to be used as an area to entertain guests. The real challenge was the supporting column, which was in the middle of the room. Making it a focal point using a unique lighting feature, the column was clad with Venetian plaster, giving it a distinctive and unusual feel.
