It may be cold outside but Design Week brightened up the mood with an array of colour. Goodbye grey
For so long grey has dominated interior schemes (and skies) – it was the new biege. Our trip to Design Week was a breathe of fresh air as we were confronted with patterns and colours from each showroom. Quite recently a talk we attended by Surface Tiles in Islington gave us a glance into what is next for this medium – textures, patchwork, geometry, colour, culture. Looking around Chelsea Harbour last week we were ecstatic the same is developing in the world of soft furnishings.
Confirmation colour is back in a big way – why not be brave and mix bold colours
A firm favourite of ours for their artistic flair – Cole & Son who have released another collection in collaboration with Piero Fornasetti and the back catalogue of Fornasetti design. Bold and beautiful, their wallpapers break the mould of what you would expect. Designers and the public alike are after something original, and although it is still popular to focus on a feature wall – these papers are a big statement. Cole & Son have also released borders such as the one below which can feature the whole room around, without being too loud. The new colour palette is fresh and vibrant.

Romo, who regularly produce a range of original fabrics, have not disappointed with their collection reminiscent of the 60’s in blues and greens.
